The
very first Groovin' the Moo was held on the Sunday
24 April 2005 and attracted over 2,200 people to the
picturesque Gloucester Showground. The first band
kicked off proceedings at 12:30pm and the musical
extravaganza finished at a little after 11pm. Tickets
were $66 including GST.
The
lineup started with local band HALO, followed by Newcastle
acts The Common Code, Solver, Dirty Pink Jeans, Retro
Rockets and Supersonic. Bendigo band Sender then took
the stage followed by headliners Evermore, Killing
Heidi and finally the evergreen Screaming Jets.
The
presenters, EAO (Eastern Acoustics Organisation) and
Cattleyard Promotions, would like to thank our sponsors
for helping make this event possible, including Max
FM, NX FM, Kooee, Coca-Cola, The Drum Shop, The Newcastle
Herald, Garner's Supermarket, The Roundabout Inn,
The Avon Valley Hotel, Perenti Fine Food and Daryl's
Butcher.
