Groovin' the MUD!!!

An amazing effort by the site team! Working around the clock, they turned Maitland Showground from a lake on Friday afternoon into a festival site by Saturday morning. Water pumps were pumping, wood chips were trucked in and brooms and tarps and all sorts of stuff were rushing around in a blur. Even the weather gods helped out by kindly providing a sunny, warm, rain-free day.

...and the crowd was fantastic. Under trying circumstances, you guys embraced the conditions and made it an amazing and memorable event. Best crowd ever! Make sure you stick up for yourselves. If you read or hear any negative stories about yourselves in the press, write in, phone up and tell them the truth. Yes you were energetic and noisy, but you were also happy, considerate, and just looking to let yourselves go and have a great day. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thanks also to the people who live around the showground. We realise you are inconvenienced for the day and we try to deal with as much as we can. We appreciate your patience.

Thanks to all the sponsors, volunteers, police, St Johns, Maitland TAFE and anyone else connected with the event. It is a huge thing to put together, especially when dealing with 200mm of rain.

We will have some photos up on the site in the next couple of days, so check back soon.

Until next year..........

Pre Moo
The rain has led to one slight change. The Showground carpark is too wet for cars, so will be closed. There is plenty of parking around Maitland within a 15 minute walk to the venue. The best places to park will be on the Maitland City (ie North) side of the highway, in and around High Street. From there you simply use the pedestrian bridge to cross the highway.

Maitland and surrounds have copped a lot of rain this week, but it is forecast to clear for the weekend. Whatever happens, the show will go on! If the weather people get it wrong and showers do hang around, bring a raincoat or some wet weather gear. PLEASE NO UMBRELLAS - they are dangerous in the MOSH.

The ground will be a bit damp, so best not to wear stilletos, your tux or your best ball gowns. Solid shoes, boots, even glammed-up wellies are the suggested foot attire. It will get cool in the evening, so bring something warm to wear (preferably an old jumper you can tie around your waist). There will be plenty of warm bodies to snuggle into when Sneaky and the Presets hit the stage.

SO EMBRACE THE WEATHER AND HAVE A BALL !!!!!!
